Dave Mannon 

Chief Executive Officer  

Dave joined IPT as Chief Executive Officer in 2022. He began his career as a drilling engineer at Sedco-Forex, a global company specializing in both bottom supported and floating drilling rigs (now known as Transocean). He progressed to increasingly responsible roles, mostly recently President and CEO roles with Triton Engineering (acquired by Noble Energy), Parker Drilling, and Stallion Oilfield Services, and board of director roles with several companies.

While at Triton Engineering, he was involved in the design and execution of over 400 shallow and deepwater wells in the Gulf of Mexico, over 50 land wells along the Gulf Coast, and over 30 land and shallow/deepwater wells in India, Mexico, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Trinidad, UAE, and Venezuela.

He earned his B.S. in civil engineering at Southern Methodist University and an MBA at the University of Houston.

Brian Ervine

Experience  

Brian’s career began with the Big 4 accounting firm KPMG in their audit division, but he quickly transitioned into the technology and services industry where he has held a variety of positions from assistant controller to chief financial officer. His experience in this sector includes four years at Metapath Software International, Inc., a global provider of software and engineering services, where he managed the company’s worldwide financial operations in nine countries. He also served as executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer for Evolving Systems, Inc., a NASDAQ global business, with responsibility for worldwide financial, treasury and administrative operations. Brian joined IPT in August 2012,  and has since led the operations, planning, strategy, the integration of a key acquisition and the transformation of IPT into the business it is today.  Brian was appointed to the Board in 2017. 

Neel L. Duncan, PE 

Managing Director

Experience  

Neel is a senior project development and asset management executive with a successful track record in E&P companies ranging from large, vertically integrated “big-oil” companies to independent producers. After gaining core experience in the US with ExxonMobil and managing drilling campaigns for several independent companies. Neel moved to Russia and held roles of increasing operational and managerial responsibility in Anderman/Smith and the Russian oil giant TNK’s joint venture Chernogorskoye where he also became the CEO. Neel then became the CEO of Southern Oil Company, a subsidiary of Gazprom. Returning to TNK in 2002, Neel helped integrate the company with BP and held a senior management role developing upstream gas in the merged oil giant TNK-BP until mid-2007.

After a short time consulting for the Ministry of Oil and Energy of Turkmenistan, he joined Oil Search Limited in 2009, taking on the role of General Manager Operations over Papua New Guinea, where he slashed operating costs, developed PNG nationals, and oversaw the building of operational readiness for participation in the ExxonMobil-led PNG LNG project.

Neel returned to the USA in 2008 but continued to work internationally. In 2014, he joined IPT Well Solutions where he became focused on domestic work.  Neel currently provides technical and strategic advice to companies in the upstream, midstream, and mining sectors.

 

Neal Hageman  

Frac Business Unit Manager

Neal Hageman has a technical background in providing onsite QAQC and job monitoring on frac jobs across various basins in Wyoming. He then worked as a Stimulation Specialist, offering onsite QAQC, engineering analysis, and technical recommendations on frac jobs throughout the United States. Neal progressed to become an Engineering Manager, providing technical advice for active stimulation treatments, performing treatment designs, diagnostic analysis, and field studies. Currently, he is a Frac Business Unit Manager and manages a team of stimulation specialists and frac wellsite supervisors while continuing to provide technical guidance for ongoing completion operations. Neal is a registered Professional Engineer in both Texas and Wyoming. 

Education: B.S. – Construction Engineering & Management – Purdue University

 

Clayton Doke 

Senior Petroleum Engineer  

Clayton hails from the farmlands of Wray, Colorado. In 2007, he attained a Colorado School of Mines Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering focusing on petroleum economics and reservoir engineering. Clayton joined the company in 2008 and now oversees our Permitting, Reservoir Engineering, Economics and Data Analytics groups. 

His experience is varied, deep and incudes complex reservoir model development/simulations, economic evaluations for projects representing over $800 million, EOR project analysis, and expert witness testimony. He has also been an integral part of the planning and execution of several large-scale projects in urban areas with challenging regulatory environments and is held in high regard by the COGCC, WOGCC, EPA and WYDEQ. 

Mike Freeland 

Vice President Fracturing Services, Fracmaster

Mike’s career started at Dresser Titan where he worked for two years as an engineer in training (EIT) and in equipment operations. From there he moved on to BJ Services, where during his 14years with BJ he served in many roles including equipment operator, fluid technician, district engineer, region laboratory manager, senior district engineer and technical sales representative. Mike joined IPT in 1996 and during his time with the company, he has accumulated a breadth of experience that includes field work in all major plays in the Continental U.S. as well as International experiences in Brazil, Canada, India, New Zealand and Venezuela, feet. Mike is an asset to both IPT and to the clients we serve.

He earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University.

Fred Tyler 

Business Development Manager

Fred has 2 decades of oilfield management and sales experience with the most the recent challenge leading a data startup company leveraging blockchain technology to automate oilfield contracts in a single platform between operators and multiple service companies.

Prior to, Fred spent over 6 years managing his own company delivering water resources for frac operations in the Delaware Basin for two major Permian operators over a 30,000-acre surface lease. Early in his career, Fred was country manager with one of the largest drilling companies worldwide managing drilling and related service operations in North Africa, Middle East, Kazakhstan and Mexico.

“I’m honored to be a part of the IPT team, and I look forward to learning and working in tandem with everyone. Hopefully, I can utilize my unique experience to enhance an already impressive organization.”

Fred resides in Houston, Texas and spends his spare time riding one of two of his Harleys and attending car shows with his beloved 1981 Trans Am.

Leilani Steffan

Business Development Manager

Leilani Steffan has a range of commercial experiences and roles across the energy industry, spanning from upstream to downstream in the oil and gas as well as power sectors.  Some notable experiences before joining IPT include:  working on the top-tier Origination team at Cheniere Energy that has commercialized the contiguous US’ first LNG liquefaction facilities via complex deal structures integrating the energy value chain from upstream gas production to downstream power offtake.  This shaped and solidified her passion for the energy industry and influenced her move to the power side of the world where she joined the Origination team at Tenaska, working on both wholesale and retail power deals across all US power markets.  Tenaska also exposed her to the renewable energy advisory space, which opened the door to ESG, carbon capture, renewables development projects and behind-the-meter solutions where she witnessed a further integration of the energy value chain and players.  Prior experiences include Tenaris Global Services and consulting in the biotech space in NYC.

Her colored and diverse professional background, coupled with her drive for intellectually stimulating work brought Leilani to IPT as Business Development for companies based in DFW, Midland, OK and beyond.  She offers a unique appreciation for the greater energy value chain and its optimization along the way.  She is excited about the future of energy and how well-positioned IPT is for continued growth and success.

Leilani has double Bachelors from Texas A&M University as well as a Masters degrees from Columbia University.

Mike McAnear

Business Development Manager

Mike joined the IPT team in August 2023 as Business Development Manager and brings more than 17 years in the oil and gas industry. Mike began his career in Midland, Texas where he worked for Key Energy Services.  During his time with Key, Mr. McAnear held various operational and sales management positions, including District Manager and Business Development Manager.  From 2017 – 2021, Mr. McAnear served as the Permian Basin Regional Manager for Ecoserv, LLC and West Texas Sales Manager for C&J Energy Services and Viva Energy Services.  In October 2021, Mike relocated to Denver, Colorado, and served as Rockies Account Manager, for Energera, Inc. prior to being promoted to Sales Manager in September 2022.  Mr. McAnear earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas – Permian Basin and his Master of Business Administration from Angelo State University. 

Jim Jacobsen 

Drilling Manager  

Jim has a wealth of experience in multiple US basins, and his experience outside the DJ, in the Eagle Ford, Permian, Marcellus and other basins will be key to delivering excellence as we grow our business outside of Colorado. His twenty-five-year career includes eleven years with service companies, eleven years with Noble Energy and three years with Apache Corp in senior drilling position. Jim holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech.

Quentin Mendenhall 

Environmental Manager

Quentin Mendenhall joined the IPT team in 2023 filling the role of Environmental Manager and offering more than twenty years of environmental expertise in the oil and gas industry. 

This involvement included permitting and providing environmental compliance to oil and gas production service areas in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Quentin has also served various environmental roles with DCP Midstream by providing environmental support for facilities in the DJ Basin of Colorado. Serving as Environmental Manager for DCP’s Permian assets, his team provided environmental support for numerous gas-processing plants and gathering systems in Texas and New Mexico. Because of his credentials, Gas Processors Association appointed him to an industry task force that provided advocacy for rule-making which met with government officials in Washington DC and EPA’s technical headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Quentin earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation, he began his career with Phillips 66 working as an Environmental Engineer that supported Phillips’s pipeline transportation in numerous states.

Kathy Morgan 

Director of Human Resources

Kathy has worked in Human Resources for the past 30+ years. Working in both CA and CO. She has supported companies in various industries: Insurance, Electronics, Entertainment, Retail, and Oil & Gas. Kathy has worked for IPT since 2015. At IPT she handles all areas of Human Resources (hiring, benefits, leave of absences, terminations, etc.), Payroll, Drug Testing, and our Safety Program. Little extras are planning and running food at work events, company parties, etc. Since many of our employees are spread out across the US, Kathy writes a monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed of important information, upcoming changes, and things happening with our employees.

Emre Cankut Kondakcı

Senior Geologist

Cankut joined IPT Well Solutions as our Senior Geologist after finishing his doctorate degree at the Colorado School of Mines. In 2013, he started his career in the oil and gas industry as a mud logger at Viking International and worked in multiple oil and gas fields in Turkey. He continued his career as a wellsite geologist at TURCAS focusing on geothermal drilling operations from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, Cankut won a scholarship from Turkish Petroleum Corporation and came to the United States to obtain his master’s in petroleum geology. Following the master’s degree at the Colorado School of Mines, teaching and research opportunities allowed him to pursue a doctorate degree which he graduated from in December 2022.

Cankut is currently an adjunct professor at the Colorado School of Mines and teaches petroleum engineering and geophysics students sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology since 2019. He has also been a teaching assistant for the petroleum engineering students’ summer field session since 2017. During his wonderful teaching career, his students honored him with Senior Class Teaching Award.

Cankut specializes in reservoir-source characterization, sedimentology and stratigraphy, structural geology, fieldwork, organic, isotope, and elemental geochemistry, and petrophysical modeling.

Tyanne Bruce

Drilling Engineers

Tyanne joined IPT as a drilling engineer in 2022. She began her career with EOG Resources in Oklahoma City assisting the drilling department and managing the plug and abandon program. As a field engineer for Equitable Resources in Kentucky, she oversaw activities for both drilling and completions operations. During her 9 years at Chesapeake Energy, she was assigned to multiple basins including Anadarko, Granite Wash, Cleveland/Tonkawa, Hunton Lime, Miss Lime, Marcellus, and Eagleford. While at Tapstone Energy, she played an integral part in reducing drilling costs for the Meramec and Osage programs.

She also worked with the production department to monitor production and identify workover candidates. Gaining a different perspective of the industry, she has spent the last 2 years as a data analyst for Viking Minerals. Over her 19-year career, she has gained experience in various aspects of drilling including horizontal drilling, multi-lateral wells, multi-well pad drilling, directional planning, and project management.

Hilda Nalumu

Staff Accountant

Hilda Nalumu is the Staff Accountant at New IPT Inc and handles all the vendor payments, collections and Financial Reporting. She has over 15 years experience in Accounting and Finance. She has worked in Various positions and has handled forecasting, financial analysis, audit, financial management, financial reporting and has served up to executive level.

Before joining IPT she worked in Africa where she got most of her experience , particularly in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania and mainly in the services industry. She studied at Strathmore University in Nairobi Kenya and is a Certified Accountant. She also speaks a little Swahili which she learned while studying in Kenya. Outside of office, Hilda loves to travel to see new places and learn new cultures. Hiking is starting to become a new interest after moving to Colorado.

Johnny Musso

Senior Drilling Engineer

Johnny holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines with ten plus years of experience drilling and completing wells. Domestic engineering and wellsite supervision experience includes drilling and completing wells in CO, UT, WY, TX, NM and international experience includes Khurais, Haradh, Hawiyah, and South Ghawar fields in Saudi Arabia. Johnny spent five years with Halliburton’s Project Management and Consulting PSL working as a well site supervisor in Saudi Arabia on a Lump Sum Turnkey Project for ARAMCO, drilling and completing multi-laterals, single lateral and appraisal wells. He has been with IPT Well Solutions for five years as a wellsite supervisor, field operations manager, and a senior drilling engineer with extensive experience in the DJ, Permian, PRB, Delaware Basin’s and UIC Class I, II, and VI disposal wells across the Rockies and West TX.

Vinnie Wolfram 

Petroleum Engineer

Vinnie joined IPT as a petroleum engineer in 2022. He is a recent graduate of the Colorado school of mines with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. Vinnie started as an intern at Austria’s largest oil and gas producer; OMV. While working for OMV, he led his team to initiate the implementation of standby vessels on offshore oil rigs in New Zealand. As well as developing maintenance and repair plans for refineries in Tunisia and Libya. Vinnie also has a background in carbon capture, utilization, and storage with a graduate certificate in CCUS from the Colorado School of Mines. In May of 2023, he will receive his M.S. degree in Mineral and Energy Economics at the Colorado School of Mines as well as a Machine Learning Professional Certificate from Harvard.

Kelsi Welch

Permitting & Compliance Manager

Kelsi attained a BA degree in French and Literature, with a minor in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In addition, Kelsi has completed course work in Petroleum Geology and Petroleum Engineering practices. Kelsi joined the company in 2022 and now oversees our Permitting group.

Her experience is varied, deep and includes regulatory analytics and submissions, permitting for oil and gas wells, Class I, II, and VI permit submissions. Her expertise includes BLM, COGCC, WOGCC, Texas Railroad Commission, Ohio Division of Natural Resources for new horizontal wells, completions including pre-frac readiness checks, offset well mitigation, completion reports, COA completion post-drill compliance and all regulatory submissions.

Alistair Charlton

Drilling Engineer

Alistair attained a BSc degree in Applied Geology from University of Plymouth in Plymouth, UK, and a PgC degree in Drilling and Well Engineering from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, UK. Alistair joined the company in 2023 and now works in our Wells Engineering group.

His experience spans U.S. and international areas for drilling conventional and unconventional wells. His expertise includes unconventional wells in Ohio, Utica basin; Oklahoma, Anadarko, Ardmore, Cana Woodford, Cherokee Platform, Granite Wash, Scoop, Stack, basins; Pennsylvania, Marcellus North basin; Texas, Brookeland, Barnett, Delaware, Eagle Ford, Permian basins; West Virginia, Marcellus basin; Wyoming, Powder River basin; and conventional wells in Louisiana, Kings Bayou basin and Gulf of Mexico.

Alan Peterson

Director of Information Technology

Alan has amassed extensive technical skills in best practices, operating systems, business applications, market data services and desktop software and he applies this expertise to direct a team that supports IPT’s engineering services. His positive impact on IPT includes aligning the company’s organizational goals with technical solutions in CRM, ERP and line of business applications and providing strategy and execution for effective delivery of development efforts, network resources, disaster recovery and processes for day-to-day operation of the IT department, all while managing budgets, licensing, procurement and maintenance of hardware, software and services.

Alan’s previous experience includes key IT positions with firms including Epic Energy, Amerindo Investment Advisors and boutique investment firms in Minneapolis and New York. He has been a featured speaker on VoIP implementation and is actively engaged in the technology community through leadership roles in industry and application specific programs.

Matthew Hoffman 

Completion and Workover Manager  

A completions and workover engineer (CSM BS Petroleum Engineering) with 38 years  of domestic experience.  Experience in conventional sandstones and carbonates, CBM. Geothermal, Horizontal Shale, Gas Storage, and SWD.  Recently finished a 50 well workover program in a high volume gas storage field.  Significant operational experience in the Anadrko, DJ, Unitah, Green River, Piceance, Hugoton, Raton, San Juan, PRB, Permian, Eagleford, and San Joaquin  basins.  Current projects include Completing and working over SWD in DJ, Williston, Permian, Eagleford, and PRB.  Active SPE member. 

Meeshell Helas 

Marketing Manager

Meeshell has been a Marketing Professional for 10+ years. Throughout this time she had the opportunity to work with small and large companies targeting consumers and B2B. With this experience, she found she is most passionate about B2B marketing with small businesses. This passion led her to IPT in 2022 where she had the opportunity to assist IPT through a rebrand from Integrated Petroleum Technologies and lead their new brand development initiatives .
