Professional & Field Operations

Here’s a brief overview of the work done in each IPT department.

Engineering Services (ES)

Engineering Services (ES) handles completion design and analysis, reservoir engineering and stimulation, expert testimony, support to drilling, and leverages our engineering validation expertise. We provide more than contract oil and gas engineers! And, we are growing in new areas like Carbon Sequestration.

Frac Services

Frac Services (FS) works to provide service to the well. They monitor everything that is flowing into the well. We monitor the well’s critical information (pressure, rate, density, chemical additions, etc.). We analyze (in real time) the critical components of the treatment to obtain the best results for the client, by maximizing production response and lowering costs. We have been on wells where we saved the client several hundred thousand dollars, due to chemical and treatment control and eliminating costly cleanouts — and obtained superior production responses for maximum ROI.

Workover and Completion

A Workover and Completion (WC) supervisor assists in generating procedures and cost estimates. Our supervisors have 15+ years’ experience, covering vertical and horizontal oil & gas wells, saltwater disposal wells, gas storage, plug and abandonments, and re-entries.

Completion wellsite supervision is designed to safely manage operations, working with approved vendors and optimizing costs, and adhering to local, state and Federal regulations.

The supervisor issues a daily report covering the day’s activity and cost, and a synopsis of the next day’s operations. Ditto for our supervision of workover wells.

The completions wellsite supervisor is first on location, and last off. Supervisors are certified in well control and CPR First aid.

Frac Wellsite

Frac Wellsite (FW) personnel may take action throughout the well’s life. They are involved through vendor qualifications and recommendations, wireline supervision, frac supervisor, post reports, ticket reviews, and location management & logistics. FW can identify issues, address said issues while keeping the client informed are paramount to keeping operations efficiently running. These individuals are critical to the smooth and efficient operation of all aspects of location activities.

Permitting Management

Permitting Management (PM) handles the complex interactions between operators and regulators to guarantee compliance, leveraging specific expertise to ensure forms are correct and timely, and working with regulators to minimize time to an executable well. We work with regulators on the local, state, and federal level to eliminate risk and ensure success.

Drilling Services

Drilling Services (DS) has the knowledge and capability to handle all aspects of the operator drilling process. This includes Front end engineering, materials sourcing, project management, QAQC, end of well reporting, and so on. IPT’s integrated approach leverages company knowledge across reservoir, completions, fracture stimulation, production, etc., to optimize the wellbore design and drilling process for the client.
